Description

This seal is made of jade, with three dragon buttons and engraved with circular carvings of three different sizes of dragon bodies. The dragon's body is coiled, with its head slightly raised and meticulously carved. It has round eyes and square kisses, and its mouth is open and its teeth are exposed, sitting on the seal. The image is lifelike, vivid, and the lines are hard and powerful. The knife technique is flexible and exquisite; The spine is distinct, the trunk is strong, and the momentum is majestic and divine. The three-dimensional sense is extremely strong, giving people a sense of majesty and solemnity.

The overall carving is exquisite, integrating various jade carving techniques such as round carving, shallow relief, and high relief, showcasing the exquisite and unique artistic style of the Qianlong period. The "Biography of Sima Xiangru in the Book of Han" states: "So the dragon was red and the dragon was red." Yan Shigu annotated: "Wen Ying said: 'The dragon is the dragon.'" It symbolizes auspiciousness and beauty through the dragon. The gourd shaped printing surface is printed with the three characters "San Xi Tang" in Yangwen.

This seal is clearly recorded in the "Qianlong Treasure Seal" currently stored in the Forbidden City in Beijing. After comparison with the actual object, whether it is made of material, size, or seal layout, it is completely consistent with the records in the book. It can be determined that this seal is the authentic treasure seal of Emperor Qianlong.

According to the records of the treasure trove, this seal is one of the three seals, and the other two seals that match it are the "Treasure of the Ancient and Rare Heavenly Son" and the "Yuri Zizi" seals. This combination allows us to clearly obtain the following information: firstly, this group of precious seals was specially carved for the Sanxi Hall of the Heart Nourishing Hall in the Forbidden City; The second is that the production time of this group of precious seals was after the 70th year of Emperor Qianlong in 1780. This is the key to our understanding of the "San Xi Tang" seal on this side.
